do any TV tuner cards actually work in Vista?
are they any actual TV Tuner cards that are "Vista Certified" and that
people are using without any problems or bugs?
and does MS have a website that you can search for "Vista Certified"
hardware & software that have the logo.

I currently own an Nvidia NVTV Tuner card I was using under XP media
center.. which Nvidia has said won't be supported under Vista.. and that I
need to upgrade to Nvidia DualTV... the problem is that thier own Driver
download page states it's still beta and known issues are not cool.. I've
also read several reports in this group of people running into tons of
problems

I use Cable TV, so I'm mostly looking for a TV tuner card for cable 0-99
analog channels ( I assume no cableCard compadible PC Tuner cards are avail
for Vista.... to recieve encrypted HDTV channels directly off cable) so an
S-video input from my HD cable box .... Recording FM radio would be nice..
any suggestions would be nice.. I also have an Nvidia 7950 Video card, so
I'm not sure the ATI "All in wonder" would be a good deal..

I bought the WinTV-HVR-1600. It works good with Vista Ultimate I just
installed. Make sure you get drivers CD version 3.3C for it from Hauppauge.

Re: do any TV tuner cards actually work in Vista?
I have a NVTV card that works a treat with Vista. Of course Nvidia only ever
release one driver for this card but it installed ok using the MCE2005
drivers and have not had any problems with it.

Re: do any TV tuner cards actually work in Vista?
I got a WinTV-150-MCE (for $40 <G>) and it works great with the drivers off
the website. Their beta WinTV2000 doesn't work well, but WinTV2000 does and
MCE works off the Vista Program Files Shortcut.

Not bad for $40. Can schedule and record also. Got the whole Super Bowl
recorded.

Re: do any TV tuner cards actually work in Vista?
I have two WinTV-150-MCE tuners in my computer working with Vista. One of
them has an additional FM tuner connection I wasn't expecting, and works as
well.
Only problem I am having is that a 500 GByte hard drive is to small for the
number of TV shows and movies I would like to record. As soon as the
1Terabyte hard drives show up, I will be adding one to my system.

RE: do any TV tuner cards actually work in Vista?
Bobfather - HELP ME!!!!! please..... How do you configure Media Center to
recognize both the cable input AND the HDTV antenna? I've been beating my
head against this for weeks. I'm running Vista Home Ultimate and the ATI 650
TV tuner. I'll buy you a beer if you help me!!!

Re: do any TV tuner cards actually work in Vista?
The 650 card is not a dual tuner card it is a hybrid tuner tuner card which
means that only one of the tuners can be used at a time so both tuners can
not be recognized in MC since they can not be used concurrently.

Well now, that just plain bites. Thanks for the feedback. I'll stop beating
my head now.
