Photos Screen Saver will not work

Using Vista Ultimate.
In spite of trying to get the screen saver to use My Pictures file it will
not work. I have checked the file location along with anything else I could
think of but no success. I then tried to get just plain old screen saver
using the MS photos but this doesn't work either.
Used to work fine using XP Pro.
I've found a fix the subject problem. It happens when the screensaver finds a video and tries to play it. To fix this, go to Windows Movie Maker, click on "tools | options", click on "compatiblity" tab, disable the "Intervideo Audio Decoder" filter. Click OK and close. I did this and my Photos screensaver works without errors. Hope this helps someone
