needing help with windows playing dvd when i insert it, i dont wan

Ok, so somehow when i put in a dvd before and normally it ask me what i want
to do, it got put on playing dvd threw media player as the always option. I
dont want this, normally when im sticking in my dvds, im making backups and
it slows it down that its opening it. I have windows vista ultimate, so how
can i change this back to doing nothing when i insert a dvd or cd

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound. Underneath the Autoplay heading, select
"Play CDs or other media automatically". In the dialogue box that opens,
you can change options back to "Ask me every time", or specify default
actions as you wish.
