Re: Surround Sound on Vista RC2 not working.
It is very simple. If you play stereo source while the 5.1 is set, you will
only have stereo play over the 5.1. If you play a DVD that has 5.1, you will
hear sound on all the 5.1 speakers. Simple, if your driver for the sound
card does not have the so called "speaker fill," you are stuck with playing
stereo on the 5.1 without the middle, or rear. I would recomend for you to
go and get Cyberlink PowerDVD, that player allows you to listen to music from
stereo all the way to 7.1 surround sound. They have Dolby Pro Logic II, and
DTS Neo 6.0. And the program works fine under Vista.
