Video thumbnails have disapeared.
My video thumbnails for mpeg, WMV & AVI (Windows Media Player) files in Vista
have suddenly disapeared. They showed up as thumbnails before. Now I can only
see icons. No problems with thumbnails for pictures. Help needed!

I have Nero installed, but not Nero ShowTime. I had to reinstall Nero a
couple of times because of some problems. Maybe it messed it up?

I can't find the name of who posted this, but again I thank him.

Also deleting C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax will
help if you have problems playing .avi files.

x64 version of this fix?
I too have the same situation but I am running XP Pro x64. I tried this reg fix but it didn't work. I was wondering if there is a x64 version that you could provide. Thank you greatly. Phillip.

RE: Video thumbnails have disapeared.
I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 and I've lost my video thumbnails too.
I had Nero installed, and since I read on here that it may be the culprit
uninstalled it to see if it would fix anything. No luck. Any other fixes?
There used to be some command in XP that would turn them on or off. Not sure
what it is in Vista. I think the dll is different. Any advice would help.
This bothers me and I don't want to have to reinstall windows because of
it...haha.
