Nigel,
I have the same camera. There are no drivers. I use a card reader. One
feature that I wanted was that the pictures would be imported with the
correct orientation, and in XP this didn't happen with the card reader, but
in Vista, the orientation is preserved.
Also, the card reader is MUCH faster than loading from the camera, and I
don't waste my battery.
Card readers aren't very expensive, and worth it.
