cannot download photos from camera

using Vista RC2, I attemp[t to download photos fr4om my digital camera and
the dialog windows opens for about 1-2 seconds and quickly closes without
downloading anything,

I have adjusted control panel settings to various including ask me every time.

The same result no matter what.

any suggestions?

I suggest using a card reader and copying the pictures directly from the
memory card for now. Camera/scanner drivers are probably still not complete
or not bug-free.

Thanks for yor reply, but I would like to rectify the problem and have it
back to what i9t was doing originally. Now when attaching the camera the
dialog box open and closes for about a second or two and nothing happens. I
would loike to know how to fix this problem.
