Thanks for the response. This problem only applies to audio CDs and not
mp3s etc with DRM involved. Although I followed your link anyway to be on
the safe side and it had no effect. Thank you for the idea though,
appreciated.
What I forgot to mention earlier is that the CD-ROM is working fine
otherwise. It's literally just a playback issue. I can also rip the CD to
drive and then play, which has confused me even more!
