flash drive and car stereo

My brother has a car stereo with a slot for a flash drive. We bought a flash
drive and put some music on it but it wont play in the car. Please help?

You should read the car stereo manual to see 1) what type of music file (mp3,
wav, wma, etc.) AND 2) what type of file system (FAT, FAT32, NTFS) the flash
drive must have for the car stereo to be able to read the flash drive.
