Any Media will not play

HELP! I have just installed vista 64bit premium on a new self build with a
P5W DH Deluxe motherboard and twin DVD drives. Pioneer atapi dh-16D1p fx14
Samsung ts-th552bts11. When I try and play either any media, cd, dvd film,
game all I get is the green bar moving along slowly before it complains that
the media is corrput or just hangs. I have applied the upper and lower reg
changes, and have the setup dual built with dual boot with XP works fine and
under XP all works great. Also an external dvd via usb it works. I have
downloaded the latest drivers and bios Any clues anyone????
