Sony Ericcson Disc2Phone software

After several months of waiting, Sony Ericsson launched their Disc2Phone
software for Vista. I immediately downloaded this so that I could transfer
music from my laptop to my Sony Ericsson W800i phone. The installation of the
software went without a hitch. However, whenever I try to run the software, I
get a request to sign into Windows Live ID. If I try to sign in, the screen
freezes and comes up with the message "Sign in to Windows Live ID (Not
responding)". The screen just 'hangs'. So I cannot access the software. I
have tried uninstalling it and re-installing but the problem still exists. I
have asked Sony but they say it is a Microsoft issue. Can anyone help to
solve this frustrating problem?
