Unable to attach photos to e mail

Vista is not user friendly when it comes to attaching pictures to e mails.
When I set up an e mail message and click on Share Photos I get a page
asking my name..then another page asking for my e mail address..next a error
message telling me
"Windows Mail no longer supports the HTTP servers used by Hotmail and other
web based e mail providers.Click the back button to set up a different e mail
account or see other options for accessing your e mail account".It talks
about 'an invalid path' what ever that is.
I am a non tech type so all of that is mumbo jumbo to me.All I want to know
is how do I attach pictures to e mails?Help
