Recording DVDs

I made a movie in WMM from digital pics taken on vacation. I can burn a CD
OK, but when burning a DVD in starts encoding and would take about 3 hrs. for
a 34 minute film! I have Vista Home Premuim with all the updates and a
Lightscribe DVD+R DL and am using Magnavox DVD+R discs. Help!

What help do you need?
This could be a reasonable time for say 250 pictures which may need to be
resized, made into a movie, changed into an mpeg, have any audio multiplexed
have the menu made, make the vobs and write the disc, particularly if you
have a high setting chosen for quality.
