movie maker won't publish

I am having problems with publishing with Movie Maker on Vista Home Premium.
Whenever I try to publish, no matter which option I choose, mm freezes and I
get the message that it needs to close. I already tried disabling several
codecs from the list but still no luck, no matter what I try it won't work.
This is psrt of the problem details:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: MOVIEMK.exe
Application Version: 6.0.6000.16386
Application Timestamp: 4549b5b6
Fault Module Name: StackHash_9fbd
Fault Module Version: 6.0.6000.16386
Fault Module Timestamp: 4549bdc9
Exception Code: c0000374
Exception Offset: 000af1c9


What can I do to be able to publish my project to a video file, please?

Sing along with me...

Remove or rename the file msms001.vwp and you'll stop crashing. This is a
crash in Voxware MetaSound. There is no good reason for that to be on your
system. If you installed a codec pack that did this to you, that's a good
lesson to never trust "codec packs". =(
