Help moving photos from a Mac to a PC

Hello All,

I am trying to move some photo's from my Mac to a PC. The trouble is that
Vista does not recognise the format of the photo's so for the moment I'm
scuppered! Does anyone know if there is:

1) either a way to alter the photo's to a format that the PC will recognise
or,
2) a vista photo application that will recognise them?

Any help would be much appreicated
