How to sync Windows Media Player 11 to Sidekick 3 (and convert to
So, I have Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Media Player 11. I am
trying to sync music to a Sidekick 3.
I connect it thru USB, set the sync options in Windows Media Player, select
3 songs from the library, and hit sync.
It then says "Converting File" on the screen for a few minutes.
After the sync is complete, I get a message on the Sidekick 3 screen that
says "3 unsupported files found." I then get another message on the Sidekick
3 screen that says "This device only supports mp3 files."
I can then go into my computer and browse to the Sidekick 3 (the computer
sees it as a removable flash drive). The 3 songs are there. I go into the
properties of them and they are all wma files, not mp3.
I can set the conversion options in Windows Media Player 11 to automatic,
lowest, highest, and evertything in between- it doesn't matter. I still get
wma files after conversion.
My entire music library is stored in Windows Media Lossless format. None of
it is copy protected. They all convert when syncing.
How can I tell Windows Media Player 11 to convert to mp3 when syncing?
Anyone know?
