I am having the same problem as "CLTNY" wrote about several months ago with a
twist. CLTNY wrote: I have a new Toshiba notebook running Vista. Windows
Media Player 11 will not PLAY the m3u files from RadioParadse or the samples
from emusic. It forces me to download them first. I never had this problem
on XP.
Instead of playing them, it says: "Do you want to save this file?
The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It
is either corrupted or it has an incorrect file type."
I'm getting the same problem but I just started getting it about 2 months
ago. I am trying to listen to Sound Clips within the CDBaby website. I have
listened to them for approximately one year (with this same computer set up
exactly the same way with Vista) with no problem and then these messages
start. I have contacted CDBaby and asked them if they have changed something
and the answer was no. I will try the associations fix you suggest below and
let you know.
