Software for Sony TRV18 Digital Video Camera
Anyone have any recommendations for software to use with a Sony TRV18?
Also, any reason why MS Movie Maker won't recognize the camera? The Driver
installed perfectly as shown in Device Manager, but Movie Maker doesn't see
the camera.

How are you connecting this camera? You should be using it's build-in
firewire port. The USB port assuming it has one is mainly for
transferring still images if your computer doesn't directly accept
memory cards.

If you are short on expansion cards, many can be found that combine
both USB and Firewire (IEEE 1394) on the same card thus saving you
space. Such cards are dirt cheap. Just be sure it is 100% firewire
compliant.
