WMP11 Error message; Outdated Driver
Swillis here, running Vista Home Premium on an HP Media Center PC with 3 gig
of RAM.
When I went to play an MP3 podcast from an Internet site, WMP11 played for a
bit then popped up this message before crashing: "Your device is using an
outdated driver that is no longer supported by Windows Media Player. For
additional assistance, click Web Help." I tried to find any and all updates
for WMP11 only to find that I have all the updates available.
From what I've been able to read on the Internet, WMP11 might think I've
made a partnership/connection (sync) with a Dell Axim 5 PocketPC (which does
sync in the WMDC), but I have not with WMP11. There is no partnership in
WMP11 to delete and I have set up no partnerships with any device and WMP11.
What can I to do to keep this error message from popping up and crashing the
WMP11?
Thanks,
Swillis
