Retrieving email using command line utility

I am running windows vista basic and I am unable to access my desktop
due to a corruption. I was wondering if there is any way of
retrievieing my email messages from microsoft mail using the command
line utility?

Re: Retrieving email using command line utility
Are you talking about retrieving messages from the server, or
retrieving already downloaded messages from the hard drive?

If the former, I take it you can't run a browser in order to read
your mail via the web interface? Go to the nearest library or
Internet Café and use their computer.

If you mean the latter, you need to deal with a Vista restoration
expert. I've heard that you can reinstall Vista over itself without
losing any data, but never having tried it, I can't vouch for it.

Re: Retrieving email using command line utility
You can try:

"c:\program files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe"

in the command line including the quotes. That should run WinMail.
