Are you talking about retrieving messages from the server, or
retrieving already downloaded messages from the hard drive?
If the former, I take it you can't run a browser in order to read
your mail via the web interface? Go to the nearest library or
Internet Café and use their computer.
If you mean the latter, you need to deal with a Vista restoration
expert. I've heard that you can reinstall Vista over itself without
losing any data, but never having tried it, I can't vouch for it.
