cant send or receive e-mails

Why cant i send or receive e-mails ive added a nw account but it says an
error is there its error no:0x800CCC0D what is this what am i doing wrong?

Hi Gary, I have exactly the same problem, it is ruining my life ! here is
the exact message which appears whatever the email box is :

Impossible de trouver l'hôte pop3.wanadoo.fr. Vérifiez que vous avez entré
correctement le nom du serveur.
Compte : 'pop3.wanadoo.fr (1)', Serveur : 'pop3.wanadoo.fr', Protocole :
POP3, Port : 110, Sécurisé (SSL) : Non, Erreur de socket : 11001, Numéro
d'erreur : 0x800CCC0D

It might be an incompatible anti-virus software problem.
Which, if any, do you use?

Are you sure pop3.wanadoo.fr is the correct server name?
When I do a lookup on it, it fails, indicating that server name is unknown.

I think it should be pop.wanadoo.fr
