has not fixed my problem.(downoaded http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil) i have read

Re: can't send messages in windows mail

Hi ibo,

Do you have any messages stuck in a folder in Windows Mail?

You may need to put the music file in ZIP file and and send it as a ZIP
instead. Some ISP mail servers do not like certain file types to be
sent. (EX: .exe files) If the music file is large, you might have
exceeded your ISP's upload limit on a single upload. Check with your
ISP for what the limit is.

Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Re: can't send messages in windows mail
i don't have any messages stuck in any files. i also don't believe i am
exceeding any file size limitations, i should be able to send up to 16mb.
the files i have tried to send are less than 4mb. and like i said, up until
yesterday i was not having any problems at all. now, every other message gets
hung up in the outbox. here is the message i get.

Subject ", Account: 'mail.insightbb.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: Ox800ccc19

thanks for your response

Re: can't send messages in windows mail

ibo,

I do not know then. You might double check and make sure you have all
email scanning options are off in your antivirus program. Even though
it isn't one of the ones having problems in the newsgroups. Perhaps
someone else will recognized the error message you posted.

Sorry,
Shawn

Re: can't send messages in windows mail
Error Number Ox800ccc19 means that communications between
the server and your mail program timed out. Ordinarily that would be
caused by an incompatible antivirus program, but you indicated
yours was compatible; which antivirus is it? Are you running any other
security software such as anti-spam or third party firewall?

I presume that by "hung up in the outbox" you mean that the message
didn't get sent? Are you able to delete everything in the outbox?
Are very small test messages sent without any problems?

Re: can't send messages in windows mail
i'm guessing it is compatible...it is not the two mentioned in someone else's
problem. i believe you assisted them with their problem.

i run trend micro anti virus 2007. i can delete everything from the out
box. i have had my machine for 2 months and up until yesterday things ran
fine. i also run spy sweeper.

i have been able to send test messages at various times today...but
sometimes they time out as well.

thanks for your help
