Vista Windows Mail login
I have just setup my new Vista Business workstation with Windows Mail. No
matter what I do, Windows Mail is not able to remember my mail account name
without the password. Each time I want to connect to my e-mail box, I have to
enter full accout name (e-mail address) and password. With old Outlook
Express 6 it was possible to store account name without password, which was
much more convenient - during logon it was necessary to enter password only,
the field "account name" was already filled in. Entering manually both of
them (account name and password) is not convenient and takes long time. Is
there any way to permanently store mail account name with Windows Mail,
without storing the password?

Try this:-
Open win mail
Click "tools" then click "options" then click "connection"
Under the "Internet Connection settings" click "change"
Highlight your connection and click "settings" then click "properties"
Now choose "security" and choose the "Typical" option. From the drop down
menu choose "require secured password" click "OK" and that should do it.
If not then instead of clicking "security" choose "Options" then put a tick
in the "prompt for name and password" box. Your name is usually filled in and
it will just ask for the password....

Hope that helps.....

Regards
