Importing Outlook Contacts into Windows Mail

Greetings,

I was wondering if it was possible to retrieve all of my old contacts (from
Outlook 98) into Wiindows Mail? I have tried unsuccessfully to import the
..pab file.

A PAB file cannot be imported into Windows Mail. You can import contacts
from an installed setup of Outlook but otherwise your PAB file is useful
only on the computer you obtained it from.

export the contacts as CSV, you can then import the CSV file into WM.

My list is a .csv and I still cannot import. I get a big red "x" every time.
Any suggestions?
