Can Contact names be listed in original Windows Mail Screen?
Or is this a feature completely removed? I know that there is no longer an
option to tell it to show names, but sure did like that feature. Does anyone
know?

no longer possible.
2 options.
add contacts icon to tool bar
or
add contacts gadget to sidebar
