Can't Send Emails to some of my contacts
There are certain email addresses that I just can't send an email to, among
them one of my sons. When I do, I get a message that says, "after verifying
the address of your recipient, resend message from your email program".
There was one response on communities that said Windows mail no longer
supports servers that use Hotmail or other email servers, but my son is at a
major university using their email account, which I'm sure doesn't use
hotmail or anything like it. I've got McAffee spam-killer, and I've checked
the settings there, turning off the scanning of out-bound email, but it made
no difference.
What's up with that?

Re: Can't Send Emails to some of my contacts
It doesn't sound like a server problem but rather an e-mail address problem
(which is what the error message is trying to tell you). Since you say that
the problem occurs with only certain addresses, it's reasonable to assume
your account is (ISP's SMTP/POP3 settings) is configured correctly.
There must be a problem with how you are entering the e-mail address. Try
this as an experiment: have your son send you an e-mail message. When it
arrives, reply to that message and see if your son receives it. If he does
receive it, compare the address for your son on the message that worked to
the message that did not work. Chances are they are different.
Please post back with results.

Re: Can't Send Emails to some of my contacts
Thanks, Tim. I had already checked that....but I did figure out what was
wrong. I went in and re-setup my account and checked the box "My server
requires Authentication", and I can now send to everyone in my box.
That had really gotten frustrating!!!!

Re: Can't Send Emails to some of my contacts
That's great that the problem has been fixed and thanks for posting the
update. But kind of odd that only certain addresses weren't working. I would
have thought that none of your messages would have been sent successfully.
