Vista Mail unable to import outlook .pst files

Hi Everyone,

is there a way to import messages from 2003 Outlook?

I have recently purchased a Duo Core Laptop with Vista home premium. Because
of this I have sold my old PC which had Outlook 2003 on it. Is it possible
to take an old backup file in .pst format and have it imported into Vista
Mail??

Any help would be appreciated,

I am having the same problem, only I'm trying to import from Outlook 2000
onto Vista home premium. I thought pst format would work but not yet.
Anything you've learned that might be helpful?

You can import the .pst into Windows Mail,
but Outlook has to be installed on the Vista computer in order to do it.

Another method would be to open Outlook on your old computer, and export
your messages to Outlook Express format. Copy the .dbx files to a temporary
directory on the Vista computer, and import them into Windows Mail.
