How to set up Microsoft Newsgroups in Windows Mail + another quest
I mean the folder that used to be there for Microsoft Newgroups!

I had problems with Windows Mail to the point all the email in all my
folders became unaccessible. So, I went to this website,
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx, followed the instructions and now I am to
use Windows Mail again.

I have to problems still. How can I get my old email back so that I can open
them in Windows Mail? I've located them on my hard drive but they aren't in
Windows Mail. Also, my "folder" for Newsgroups is gone, how do I get that
back?

Thanks so much for any help,
Kay

Re: How to set up Microsoft Newsgroups in Windows Mail + another quest
Go to Tools | Accounts | Add | News and add msnews.microsoft.com as your
newsserver. That will get the MS newsgroups back. To get the messages back
see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm Use File | Import | Messages and point to
the directory that contains the old message store or search for *.eml and
point to that directory. If the import doesn't work, you can drag the eml
files overtop a WinMail folder message list and drop them to incorporate
them into WinMail.

Thanks, Steve, for your help! It was such a simple thing but sometimes those
simple things are the hardest to figure out, at least for me anyway!
