Ok, nothing has helped at all. If I go the my main server page and check the
email I can see the attachments. They show up in the file size column, but
even in plain text I can't view them.
Anymore suggestions???

OK,
Should have it set for HTML not plain text. Yes, copy one here. Maybe
I will see something that might help. Do you see anything in the E-mail
body that could be the attachment? Are you able to click on *File*
(Toolbar menu) and click on *Save Attachments *when you have the E-mail
containing attachments highlighted?
Double check this to be sure:
1. click on Tools
2. click on Options
3. click on Security tab
4. only* Internet Zone *& *Warn me when other applications....* should
be checked.
5. OK to apply

I checked the tools thing and it is set the way you said. I also tried the
file, save attachment and it's not highlighted, so no being able to save it
and open it another way.
Here is a copy of the email for you to look at:
Note: forwarded message attached.
Choose the right car based on your needs. Check out Yahoo! Autos new Car
Finder tool. http://us.rd.yahoo.com/evt=48518/*ht...FyLWZpbmRlcg--
hot CTA = Yahoo! Autos new Car Finder tool
See it says message attached and there is no paper clip to open it with.
I was looking around the forum last night and ran across something that
started making me think. Could these emails be in RTF and thats why I can't
open the attachment? I know win. mail doesn't handle RTF, so I was just
wondering.

That message seems to me to have never had an attachment, the sender is
probably pasting a forwarded message and calling it an attachment?
They are sending you a link to the car finder tool, http://autos.yahoo.com/carfinder/;_y...inde r%20tool

Ok,
I agree with Mac. I don't see an attachment, only a link to a website.
That's probaly why you see the message attached in e-mail. The
attachment is the website your seeing. Instead of your friend pasting a
link in the e-mail, they attached a forwarded website. Everythings ok.
Test your attachment issue by having your friend send a .bmp or .jpg
picture file as an attachment. Then see if you get the paperclip.
If your friend is using XP or older and is using the RTF format, then
you may have a issue of not seeing the attachment in the e-mail itself
since Windows Mail doesn't support it. However, you should still see
the paperclip and be able to save and open it in another program (EX:
WordPad).
Hope this helps,
Shawn

Ask the sender if they are using Outlook (not Outlook Express) from
Microsoft Office. If so, ask them to please send using plain text. If the
mail was sent from Outlook using Outlook's RTF format then Windows Mail will
never find the attachment. Outlook Express does not understand Outlook's
RTF format. Ask the Outlook user to please use Plain Text, especially when
sending attachments.
They mignt be sending through an Exchange server set to change messages to
RTF.
