Windows Mail Rule for Sent Items

Hi there guys!

Does anybody know (if possible) how I can set rules in Windows Mail for
the items which I have sent to be put into folders I created in the Sent
Items main folder? For example: I can set rules for mail from the
accounts I have (about eight) to be placed into folders with the names
of those accounts belonging to the Inbox folder. Every time I send mail,
I would like the copy to be placed into folders for the corresponding
accounts created in the Sent Items folder, and not in the main folder
(Sent Items) itself. Have browsed through the mail rules and coudn't
find anything of the sort.
Can you give me a hand on this? Thank you.

This can't be done automatically.

You can do it via message rules but you have to apply them manually.

Set up your message rule 'where the To line contains'>select the destination
folder, name the rule etc Then when the rule is completed you have to use
the 'Apply now' button, select the rule, browse to select apply to sent
items.

Re: Windows Mail Rule for Sent Items
There is a program to add Identities to Windows Mail, then each account
would be separate.

'where the From line contains'
Beto doesn't want to sort by To.

You can add a From column to Sent Items.
Sort by the From Column.
Highlight several messages, Right click, Move to Folder.

Maybe you should think about that again Ronald?

The messages are in the Sent Items folder.

All of which will be "from" beto666.

Re: Windows Mail Rule for Sent Items
I understand Windows Live Mail Desktop has a separate
Sent folder for each account. It remains to be seen whether
the new mail client to be released later this month will adopt
that custom.

Re: Windows Mail Rule for Sent Items

Thank you guys. I looked through it again but couldn't find a way to
make it work. It would be so nice if it did the way I want. And Ron, do
you know the name of such a program? I don't think I will hold on to WM
for long. It's funny, nothing is perfect really!

"accounts I have (about eight)"
I very seriously doubt that all eight of his accounts have the same email
address.
I have 3 accounts setup.
If I want to separate the Sent mail from each account, I look at the From
column.
