Purging in Windows Mail
I suggest wholeheartedly that the MS team consider reverting to the Purging
system of Outlook Express - so that when mail is sent to deleted items on my
Windows Mail, it is also sent to deleted items on the IMAP server, and when
deleted items is permanently deleted on Windows Mail, they are permanently
deleted on the IMAP server.

Friendly regards

Re: Purging in Windows Mail

Hi ninjaneer,

There was a setting for that in Windows Mail I thought. Is this what
you mean or you just don't like how it runs?

1. open Windows Mail
2. click on TOOLS
3. click on OPTIONS
4. click on ADVANCED tab
5. click on MAINTENANCE button at bottom right
6. check the options for "Purge or delete" that you need
7. click OK to apply

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: Purging in Windows Mail
Thanks Shawn

Its true that those options exsist, but it does not work. In Windows mail,
even when you delete items permanentely on Windows Mail, the IMAP account
remains unaffected, even with purging turned on in in maintance.

Best regards
