Transport emails from one isp to new isp
I am considering changing from TimeWarner to AT&T uverse.
TW does not limit my email storage capacity. Does uverse?

What happens to my emails. Can I move to new

Speed. Just ran speedtest.net and got 12.41 mb/s down and .49 mb/s up. Is
that good and how does it compare to uverse?

TIA

Re: Transport emails from one isp to new isp
A1. Ask ATT

A2. If you've already downloaded all messages from your Roadrunner account
into Windows Mail, nothing will happen to them. Contact ATT for instrux on
setting up your new account in Windows Mail.

A3. Off-topic for this newsgroup.

How long have you been an MVP?

Re: Transport emails from one isp to new isp
Time Warner is not an ISP; do you mean Road Runner?

On the subject of clear communication, what do you mean "email storage
capacity"? Within the context of this newsgroup, the ISP is irrelevant to
the email storage capacity; Windows Mail stores messages on your local hard
drive.

Re: Transport emails from one isp to new isp
1. Are you asking about webmail storage on the server?
I don't think AT&T limits it. If you want to be sure, ask AT&T support.

2. How did you access your RoadRunner emails? If your RoadRunner
emails are already downloaded to your hard drive, they will stay there.
Not sure what you mean by "Move to new". Are you also changing
your email client program?
Mail providers are independent of one's email client program.

3. Check out the posts from U-verse users here:

Thank you for your valuable assistance.
1. I thought some here may know as it is a pita to get thru to people who
can answer the question.
2. That's what I thought but I wasn't sure. I have been an EXCEL MVP for a
few years. If you have an an Excel question, I'll be happy to assist wo
snide and inappropriate comments for an MVP.
3. Again, I just thought the nice people here, like Gary, would help. Thanks
Gary.

Re: Transport emails from one isp to new isp
There was nothing snide nor any inappropriate comments in my post, I merely
asked a simple question. If you took my post to be otherwise, that's your
doing.

Re: Transport emails from one isp to new isp
There are many questions posted in this newsgroup that are clearly written
by people unfamiliar with computers and such. I think most people would have
expected a MVP to be more informed than those, or at least more capable than
most of writing a clear question. I sure had comments I felt like making
when I saw your original question that I chose to withhold.
