Also remember to move any messages that would not previously send from your
Outbox to the Drafts Folder, prior to testing sending again.

You mean in your post that appeared 5 minutes before mine?
I only refresh downloaded posts at the beginning of a session, so yours
had not been downloaded yet.

Re: logon to pop3?
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

now i get this error message after following the info in the link you
provided....getting closer, it does not ask for user name p/w anymore.....but
still cannot send.

Did you go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section?

That is not the part of the error message that we need, please copy the 2nd
part of the error message.

Are you trying to send from home or somewhere else?

Are acetoolguy or a different Steve? If you are not the same person, then
you should create a new thread for your problem. My reply was for
acetoolguy.
