Re: windows mail
If you have Vista then it can't be Outlook Express, but it could be
"Outlook" which is a part of the Office Suite. If you have XP then the
same applies, but it would be "Windows Live Mail" and you could also
have that on Vista, but on Vista you would have "Windows Mail" as well.
Sorry that's confusing but Microsoft named them not us

Basically what you need to do is get the "File Association" set
correctly and it would make it easier for you if you can say exactly
what mail client you have and Vista or XP.

Re: windows mail
You are confusing me and I assume very confusing for kimmy.

You say it would be "Windows Live Mail" for XP, but I don't understand why
you say that. For XP it could be either Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail
or Outlook.

I think this all could have been written more clearly. It would help to say
that both Outlook and Windows Live Mail can be used on any Windows starting
with 2000 or something like that. Doesn't that make it more clear? If it is
Vista then Windows Live Mail is installed whether or not it is used. Windows
prior to Vista have Outlook Express.

If it were me, I would simply request clarification and if the person does
not reply with clarification then it is likely a total waste of time to
spend any more time on it. Of course, since kimmy is using
http://forums.techarena.in, it is less likely that kimmy will not see the
replies (hopefully).

Re: windows mail
What version of Windows are you using?

It is not possible to have both Outlook Express and Windows Mail in the same
system, unless you are using advanced virtual system software. If you are
using advanced virtual system software then you must get help from the
technical people familiar with your system.

Windows XP comes with Outlook Express.

Windows Vista comes with Windows Mail (NOT Windows Live Mail)

On both systems you can have Outlook as an extra as part of the MS
Office Suite

On both systems you can have Windows Live Mail as an optional extra

Windows 7 has no email program included and it asks if you want to
get Windows Live Mail
