Cannot receive email
I set up a new Windows Live email, and I can send email, but I cannot
receive emails. I get a server error when I hit the send/receive button.
However, if I login to hotmail, I can see my incoming messages. Why can't I
see them in Windows Mail? I have the incoming email server set at
pop3.live.com.
Thanks!

Re: Cannot receive email
Use the Configuration Settings on this page:
http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog...33!49799.entry
NB: Set Outgoing server (SMTP) to Port 587, not Port 25!
Windows Mail's new account wizard is hard-coded to reject name@hotmail.com
and name@msn.com addresses. When you enter your email address during setup,
use a dummy one (e.g., name@notmail.com). After you've finished, go back
and change the email address to the correct one.

Re: Cannot receive email
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Re: Cannot receive email
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" is not enabled.
