I keep getting this error message when I open my WinMail: Security
certificate could not be verified. Certificate's CN name does not match
passed value.
Do you wish to sign on, Yes or No.
I have the same problem and it is driving me crazy. Can anyone help??

Hi all, this just started happening to me as well and I was extremely
frustrated until I realized it was right after I installed Symantec's Norton
360! If this is the case for you (or possibly a different "flavor" of
Symantec Security), Go to Tools > Manage Add Ons > Enable or Disable Add Ons.
From there, you can then click "Publisher" to group the Symantec Add On's
together and then Disable them. Close and Restart IE and...I hope this does
the trick. I was pretty happy when it worked for me! I'm going to post this
on all the threads that seem to have this problem because it seems to be
pretty widespread and I can't believe there's such a problem with Microsoft
IE & Symantec working together.

It doesn't give one a very reassuring feeling about Symantec
that they can't produce a product that is 100% Vista compatible.

this can happen if your mail provider uses multiple names for it's
pop3/imap/smtp servers. In your mail tool you need to use the same server
name that is used in the certificate. Unfortunately the developers did not
implement a function in the error dialog to show you the contents of the
certificate.
