Sorry for not reading your first post more closely. Is this a sudden, new
problem or an ongoing one? In other words, have you ever been able to open
attachments?
The above question notwithstanding:
1. Download the Norton Removal Tool, Saving it to your desktop. See link
here:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...05033108162039
[If in doubt, click on the "Norton 2009" link.]
2. Close all open applications (i.e., anything with an icon on your taskbar,
including Windows Mail).
3. Right-click on the file you saved in #1 above and select Run as
Administrator. Do not TOUCH your keyboard until the run completes, then
reboot.
4. Test opening attachments.
