Can anyone tell me how to import my old messages from Outlook 2000 to Windows
Eamil? Vista will not recognize Outlook 2000 and will not let me import the
file I saved.

RE: Importing Outlook 2000 Messages and Contacts
I have a similar problem, however I only have a .pst file saved from Outlook
2000 Contacts, which I wish to import to Vista Contacts. I saved the file
from an old PC, which I no longer have, and have saved this file onto a new
Vista laptop via a USB memory stick. Is there anyway I can now import this
data into Vista Contacts? I have seen some messages about downloading a
trial version of Outlook 2007, however as I'm not that computer literate, I'm
concerned about doing this and causing problems with Vista Mail & Contacts.
Thanks.

There is no way to directly import the contents of the pst file into
WinMail. That's why the suggestion to install the trial version.

Can't seem to find where Microsoft offer a free trial version of Outlook -
certainly not in the UK. Any suggestions?

US residents can get a free trial of Office 2007 here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...687261033.aspx
I don't know if that URL is blocked for non-US locations.

Re: Importing Outlook 2000 Messages and Contacts
I opened the trial version of Outlook 2007, but it's online. Don't see how
to change default to the old .pst file on my thumb drive backup. Any advice?
thanks

That seems to deal only with Outlook Express, not Outlook.
