Export the accounts from OE (Tools | Accounts) as IAF diles and import those
into WinMail (Tools | Accounts).

Import messages and accounts from OE6 in Windows Mail
Can someone tell me how to import messages and accounts into Windows mail
I know the 'normal' way to do it. Importing from an archivefolder in the
wizard and point to the folder where my OE messages (.dbx) are (or my .iaf).
But Windows Mail keep saying there is nothing there. This really sucks.
I need my former messages
If this isn't even working how will the program work then.

Next question is: Is it possible to install OE 6 in Windows Vista (64bit).
If yes. How do I do that.
Put the WinXP Cd in the player and search for OE6? And install it?

Hope someone good help here. I'm very disappointed that it just doesn't
work. Typical Microsoft

Greetings Elinee

You have the OE dbx files (including folders.dbx) in a folder on the hard
drive and the Read Only attribute is not checked?

Thanks for your reaction Ron
I managed my messages importing about an hour ago. Very glad with it was
searching for days now.

Very helpfull link was this one:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...2fsettings.xml

Found it here in the newsgroup somewhere. Can't find it anymore. (I'm pretty
new to newsgroup stuff)
What I can't manage is importing the email accounts from OE to WM.
But I suppose there is no answer to that. And I have to do that manually.
Sad but true I think

Btw. Answering your question yes I had the OE dbx files including
folders.dbx in a folder on the hard drive and not RO. But Windows mail
didn't recognize anything.

RE: Import messages and accounts from OE6 in Windows Mail
I am frustrated too, cannot up and run multiple users, and have no clue if
this is going to post, b/c I cannot create a new post even here, b/c when I
click on new, a button comes up and I am unable to post.

I think they should have tweaked it better, there were no issues like this
w/XP O/E, I am totally trying to fix something everytime I log on.
