Re: Windows Mail not sending/receiving mail
I was able to contact both servers, so they exist.
It is very unusual to have SSL security on ports 25 and 110.
So, either your SSL setting is wrong, or else your ports
are wrong. Check with your ISP.

Re: Windows Mail not sending/receiving mail
Gary:

My SSL ports (Incoming 25 and Outgoing 110) are exactly those of VivekSang
and I am having the same problem but different ISP (Charter Pipeline)! Does
that have any meaning? Does point to Windows Vista not the ISP? Anyway, only
the ISP can determine what port we should use?

Cheers,

Gene

Re: Windows Mail not sending/receiving mail
You cannot send or receive from home?
As far as I can determine, Charter does not use SSL.
Only your ISP can determine what port numbers and associated
settings their mail server uses.

The other consideration is that if your SMTP server only works
on port 25, you will not be able to use it when you carry your
laptop away from home.
