I checked Google and couldn't find anything but thanks

found all this garbage about the defective spell checker

You need a spell checker? You never mentioned that previously.

Then you are not using Google, to its best advantage.

Yes there is, Google is your friend. But the point is, outlook is STILL
RUNNING, so what's the difference between keeping WM running and using a
third-party notifier which HAS TO BE RUNNING to do the same job?

There is a 3rd party e-mail program called IncrediMail. Whenever you
have in-coming mail, a notifier will pop up on your screen even the
program is not opened.
One down side : IncrediMail will take over as Default program whether
you want it or not. Meaning all in-coming mails will go to it. WM will
become obsolete.
