Windows Mail acts funny after importing OE6 Messages
Can someone please help.

Windows Mail was working beatifully until I imported my Outlook Express 6
Messages.

Back ground: Done many hours of research before importing the messages in to
Windows Mail.
These are the steps I took:
Right clicked on the folder where the OE6 messages are located
Then selected Properties on the dropdown box
Clicked "Off" on the the read-only box
Clicked Apply button
Left this box open, as closing it will put the folder back into
read-only mode.
Then, In Windows Mail, I Select Import - Messages - Outlook Express 6 -
and fiddle around to get the correct folder, as the system doubles the folder
name.
The messages were successfully imported.

The Problems occurs after waking up the computer from sleep mode and I open
Windows Mail:
1.) A popup box shows up for 2 seconds stating that it receiving about 87
mails. The another popup box shows up for 1 second stating that it receiving
about 56 mails. I have Then I have difficulty trying to Receive incoming
mail. I need to fiddle with Windows Mail by closing it and re-opening it,
finnally I could recieved new messages (6 messagestotal)
2.) Then I tried to move a message from the Inbox to another mail folded, an
a popup box came up stating that I cannot move the message. Again, I fiddled
with the Windows mail, and it finally worked.
3.) Every time I send a message, it sits in the Outbox and stays there.
Clicking on the "Send/Recieve" does not send it. I need to close Windows
Main and reopne it, then the message is automatically sent.

Please can someone help me fix these 3 issues.

Thank You,

Dennis

Try compacting and repairing the database using my WMUtil program
(www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) . That might help with some of the issues.
