It's a little bit convoluted, but it works once you are done. Too bad the
WinMail developers didn't talk to the MSN POP3 people!! ;-)
Use the WinMail acct wizard to set up the acct, but use a dummy domain for
your email
acct setup to get around the dumb wizard -- use your
MSNemailID@dummy.com
for instance. Set up all the servers, pswds, ports, SSL as per MSN
instrcutions for the new MSN POP3/SMTP Live.com servers.
Then go back in and edit the acct (Tools / Accounts / Properties) and change
the
MSNemailID@dummy.com to your real
MSNemailID@msn.com.
Also, if you have trouble with outgoing SMTP mail, put your full
MSNemailID@msn.com in instead of just MSNemailID. Many people -- inc. me --
have had to do that.
You will then be good to go to send/receieve MSN POP3 email using WinMail.
Works like a charm!
