Re: connection error
Something is wrong with the way your connection is set up.
What type of Internet connection do you have? Is it always on (24/7)?

Re: connection error
Gary, thanks for responding. I have Comcast cable connection, and I can get
into Internet Explorer OK. (and get to my e-mail thru' web mail). It is when
I try to use the direct link to Windows Mail that it comes back with the
Error 815 message.

Re: connection error
In Windows Mail, go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties,
Connection. What does it say about your connection?
Try unchecking "Always connect to this account using".
With that box unchecked, it should use whatever connection IE uses.

Re: connection error
Gary,
I think we are getting closer. I unchecked the "always connect...." and that
produced the following when I tried to send/recieve.
Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '.', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Re: connection error
That error message is for receiving only. If you get a separate error when
trying to send, post it here.
Comcast does not use port 995 or SSL. Use the settings they specify:
