The port settings in Windows Mail can be changed here:
Tools , Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced.
Incidentally, Yahoo doesn't offer DSL or any other Internet
connectivity. You probably get it through AT&T (formerly SBC).
If you get an error message, right-click on it, copy, then paste it
into a reply here. Paraphrased error messages are not very reliable.
