Cant send Email
I am using window mail in vista for several months. 2 days ago my email stop
sending mail. I still receive it ok. I was using AVG Antivirus and I have
tried just about everything mentioned here including restoring my system back
to factory defaults. I am still having the problem. Here is my error message

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'Randy
Work', Server: 'mail.leeedward.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

i have checked the account and isp spelling, tried it signing into the
server with and without passwords, nothing seems to help any suggestions?

Re: Cant send Email
It appears there really is a domain by that name, leeedward.com
being a contraction for Lee Edward, LLC.

Re: Cant send Email
Leeedward.com is obviously not your ISP. As such, your real ISP will
block attempts to use a port 25 server not owned by them.
For a fuller explanation of this anti-spammer policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/P..._Blocking.aspx

As a general rule, the owner of the SMTP server must match the
entity providing your Internet connection.
Are you sending from home? If so, the easiest workaround is to
substitute the SMTP server belonging to your home ISP connection.

Re: Cant send Email
your right leeedward.com is not my isp, but i do own the domain name and
outsource the hosting. I am using the pop and smtp info that the isp gave me
to use and they have been working for approx 3 yrs just started having
problems after purchasing a new laptop with windows vista and windows mail.
Same setup still works on my desktop nusing XP and Outlook

Re: Cant send Email
Do your desktop and laptop use the same Internet connection?
Is the laptop being used at multiple locations using different Internet
connection providers?

You mention using settings your ISP gave you. Don't you mean the
web host? Domain web host and ISP are not the same thing.
