Re: How to uninstall Windows Mail
Windows Mail is part of the Vista OS and can't be uninstalled.
Just let it lie dormant. It won't hurt anything.

You can't, just remove any accounts that you have set up in WM, and then
ensure that WLM has all the defaults set in Control Panel for it to use.

Re: How to uninstall Windows Mail

Hi Gustavo,

As the others as posted, you cannot uninstall Windows Mail. While it
will not hurt anything to just let Windows Mail sit unused, you can
disable it if you like so no one can use it until you enable it again.
This tutorial will show you how to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Brink I choose to use OUTLOOK (for many reasons) when I go into mail control,
it will not let me "uncheck" the <.eml> extension tab, how do I get this
resolved. This is the last issue I have, I dont really care for VISTA, and my
main system runs XP pro( which I really do like. Besides, I have H/pc s that
I sync through this. Miles

Re: How to uninstall Windows Mail

Hello Miles,

You should have a option in Outlook to make it your default email
program.

If that does not help, then go into Default Programs and check to see
if Outlook is listed. If it is, then select it and make it your default
email program with all of it's associations set to it. This tutorial
will help show you how to if needed.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
