I can't get my Vista email to work either. I've tried what was sug
I tried what the posts said but still can't send email or auto clear out the
outbox. I get this message. My email address is with yahoo

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject '', Account: 'HOME', Server: 'plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F

Do you have the pay version of Yahoo (Mail Plus)? If so, use the
settings given in solution #2 below.

If you have a free, US-based Yahoo account, it has webmail access only,
no POP access. Windows Mail does not handle webmail.
There are three possible solutions:

1. How did you access Yahoo mail before? If you are happy with
webmail via your browser, you can continue to use that.

2. Pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html
and use the special settings for that service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-14.html

3. Another option is called YPOPs. It is free, but requires some technical
knowledge to implement:
