Chose what File?
I exported Window Contacts from Windows Mail onto a CD, but I do not seem to
be able to find a correct description when asked to "Chose a File to
Import", when I try to do so on to another Windows Mail.

The CD is named Sundry Matters and is in CD-RW Drive (1. What name do I
put in "Chose the File...." space?

Re: Chose what File?
We have no way of knowing what you called the file containing the
exported contacts. Can you 'explore' the CD and find the file name?

Tell us exactly what steps you used to export the contacts. One of
those steps should have involved picking a format (CSV or vCards).

Re: Chose what File?
Windows Mail often balks at importing/exporting from external media.
Copy that CD file to a folder under Documents on your hard drive
(C: drive). Then start the import wizard and point it to that file.

Re: Chose what File?
When I try to transfer (either by dragging or copy and paste) from the CD
onto My Documents Folder, although the File transfers OK, when I try to open
it, it shows the File as empty. I tried this procedure with two CDs with the
same results. After this procedure the file on the CD opens with all the
Windows Contacts intact.

So, which way can I transfer Windows Contacts from one Pc with Windows Mail
onto another PC with Windows Mail?

Re: Chose what File?
Very strange. I don't know why that file on the CD won't copy
from the CD to your Documents folder. Incidentally, don't use
a folder called "My Documents". Maybe that's what the problem is,
you trying to use "My Documents".

Do you have any other external media, like a flash drive or thumb drive?
If so, copy this folder from one PC to the other:
C:\Users\username\Contacts
where 'username' is your Windows login name.
