sending emails with attachments in vista windows mail

I am trying to send emails with picture attachment, and they keep getting
timed out, and will not send. I was able to send pictures (large sizes) last
week, now it will not send. I have McAfee I tried shutting off the email
protection to send, and that did not work. Any suggestions.

Uninstall McAfee, then follow up with their debris removal tool:

If that fixes the problem, we can recommend a free antivirus that is more
compatible.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is less
prone to suffering interference from antivirus activity.
